Noughty Rosé Is Having Its Moment — And I'm Loving the Love..
There are few things I enjoy more than seeing Noughty finally getting the recognition it deserves.
When I founded Thomson & Scott nearly a decade ago, the idea that premium alcohol-free wine would sit proudly alongside traditional wines in critics' lists and expert recommendations felt like a very distant dream. Today, it's becoming more and more apparent that what many thought was my insane idea, is now proving the critics wrong and the wine lovers seeking less alcohol in their lives, right!
Natuarlly, I was absolutely delighted to see Noughty Rosé included in My Dry Bar's list of the 10 Most Popular Alcohol-Free Wines in 2026.
Even more exciting was reading their description of our Provence-style Rosé:
"Noughty wines have become one of the fastest-growing premium alcohol-free wine brands globally, and its Provence-style rosé is a key reason why."
Now, I won't pretend that didn't make me smile.
The team at My Dry Bar went on to highlight exactly what we set out to create when developing Noughty Rosé: an elegant, pale pink wine inspired by the rosés of southern France, crafted with all the sophistication and food-friendly character wine lovers expect.
They also picked up on the notes of strawberry, watermelon, raspberry and rose petals, alongside the refreshing acidity and clean finish that make it such a delicious bottle to enjoy all year round.
For me, that's the magic of Noughty Rosé.
It's relaxed without being casual. It's refreshing without being simplistic. And when it's done properly, it has the ability to elevate everything from a simple lunch in the sunny garden to a long evening around the dinner table with friends.
I particularly loved My Dry Bar's pairing suggestions — Mediterranean dishes, grilled seafood, fresh salads and light pasta dishes. I'm vegetarian so I'll forego the seafood but would encourage others to pair our wines with food as both benefit from the flavour profiles of the other.
What's especially encouraging is that we're seeing more wine lovers choose alcohol-free options not because they have to, but because they want to. Consumers are becoming more mindful, more health-conscious and more interested in enjoying great wine experiences without compromise. and switching out with their favourite alcoholic wines as much as they like too.
That's the future we always believed in.
Being recognised by publications like My Dry Bar (and recently Chowhound in the U.S.) is wonderful, but what means the most is seeing people discover that Noughty can be every bit as enjoyable, sophisticated and celebratory as alcoholic wine.
So if you haven't yet tried our Provence-style Noughty Rosé, perhaps this is your sign.
Pour a chilled glass, gather some good company, and enjoy one of summer's simplest pleasures.
Cheers
