QUICKFIRE: We Speak To The Founder of Al's NA Beer About NYC and a Sprinkle of Lemon

As a non-alcoholic wine brand, you might wonder why we want to rub shoulders with non-alcoholic beer brands.  But AL's NA Beer had us at 'hello' and so we thought we get a quick lowdown on the him behind the tin...

Geneva born Alban de Pury began his career in the music industry but made a change and launched AL’s non alcoholic beer. He has always loved the flavour of German/American beer but, like a lot of us, he found going into his thirties that alcohol was holding him back.

To improve his health, both mental and physical, he set out to find a way to enjoy a cold one without the hangxiety. In honour of Sober October we spoke to Alban and got his quick fire take on AL’s.

Can you describe AL's in three words?

 Light, crisp, refreshing.

AL's beer goes best with ...?

A smash burger

Pizza or Tacos?

Pizza

Beach or Bar?

 Bar

London or NYC?

Hmmm.....both and I've lived in London for 12 years before moving to NYC. But I'll say NYC because that's where we are now and where AL's was born!

What's the wackiest or most creative way you've seen someone use your beer in a recipe or cocktail?

The AL-perol spritz! AL's mixed with some aperol like drink (in our case NA Wilfreds) and a sprinkle of lemon.

What inspired your eye-catching logo?

AL's is inspired by classic American lagers. That simple easy drinking beer you want to grab sitting at your favourite local bar.

What's next for AL's?

It all started in NYC so more great bars along the US east coast before tackling the rest of the US/Canada and (hopefully) the UK/Europe one day!
