Thomson & Scott Strikes Exclusive Deal With Hallgarten to Bring Noughty to every UK Town and City!

Specialist wine importer, Hallgarten & Novum Wines, has announced its exclusive and strategic partnership with award-winning alcohol-free wine company, Thomson & Scott, the makers of Noughty, thereby enhancing Hallgarten’s no- and low- wine offering.

This exciting new collaboration marks a significant step for Hallgarten Wines as it expands into the rapidly growing no- and low-alcohol category, responding to increasing consumer demand for premium alcohol-free alternatives*.

The partnership brings Noughty’s acclaimed range of organic, premium and sustainably produced sparkling and still wines into Hallgarten’s extensive portfolio for nationwide distribution.

With a reach spanning the breadth of the UK, Hallgarten supplies wines to thousands of on- and off-trade partners, from Michelin-starred restaurants to leading hotel groups and independent retailers. The addition of Noughty to its range reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability, and recognition that non-alcoholic wine is becoming a key part of the wine industry.

Founded by entrepreneur Amanda Thomson, Thomson & Scott has quickly established itself as a global leader in the non-alcoholic wine space. The brand is celebrated for its dedication to quality, transparency, and mindful drinking, with accolades from industry critics, consumers, and lifestyle media.

Noughty’s wines are already listed in prestigious UK accounts such as The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Grove and Raffles London.  It is fast becoming the leading non-alcoholic wine brand for wine lovers looking for quality.

“Partnering with Hallgarten Wines is a natural fit,” says Thomson & Scott Founder and CEO Amanda Thomson.  “Their national reach and dedication to quality make them the perfect distribution partner as we continue to grow our presence across the UK and international markets. Together, we’re making it easier for people to choose better non-alcoholic options without compromise.”

Jim Wilson, Portfolio Director at Hallgarten & Novum Wines commented: “The appetite for non-alcoholic wine alternatives is a trend that is growing at pace and we are delighted to have found a fitting supplier partner with Noughty. Their dedication to quality and ethos of sustainability is aligned to our own, as we look to create an industry-leading portfolio of premium wines. Our team is incredibly excited to show these sought-after wines to our customers.”

The Noughty range will be available to Hallgarten’s on- and off-trade partners from April 2025. The Range comprises: Noughty Dealcoholized Blanc, Noughty Dealcoholized Rouge, Noughty Dealcoholized Rosé still wines (all at less than 0.5% ABV); and Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay, and Noughty Sparkling Rosé (both at 0% ABV).

*IWSR data shows that the total UK no and low market is expected to have more than doubled in 2024 from 2023. Furthermore, sales of no-alcohol wine grew by +8% in 2024, in line with a trend for premiumisation, with premium and standard brands growing faster as opposed to entry-level brands. This is in response to growing consumer demand for both low- and no-alcohol beverages, as quality and availability improves. (Source: IWSR, 2024).
