Noughty Rouge Non-Alcoholic Red Wine has been expertly dealcoholized to retain the rich flavor of this beautifully crafted bottle.

TECHNICAL DATA

Vintage: Non vintage
Varietal: 100% Syrah
Vineyards: Produced with Syrah grapes from dryland farmed vineyards in Darling, South Africa. The grapes are grown in strategically selected sites, which get the warm sunny and cooling effect of the Atlantic Ocean. Deep soils from decomposed granite and rich clay help to provide good drainage.

Winemaking: Dealcoholized to less than 0.5% using a gently spun cone technology under vacuum and at low temperature to ensure that the wine retains its distinctive body, color and flavor.

TASTING NOTES

Noughty Rouge is a deliciously well-balanced red wine that is deep ruby red in color with hints of ripe red fruit, crushed black pepper, dried rose petal and candied cherries integrated with French oak tannins.

PAIRING

Great alternative to any elegant alcoholic red wine to be paired accordingly.

The bottle contains less than 150mg per liter of sulfites and is gluten free.

Hi Chuck - thanks for the review! That's great, we really wanted to emulate a lot of great dry red wines that we personally love. Noughty Rouge is very low in sugar content, which helps us balance the fruit and the acidity to give it that flavour profile. It also has some tannins, which again helps provide a rounder finish. Best Non-Alcoholic Red!
The Rouge is the best non-alcoholic red available. It tastes as close to a nice red wine with alcohol as can be. Well worth the price. Pour some into a pretty red wine glass and enjoy!

this stuff works
I love good red wine but I quit drinking alcohol over four years ago. I first had Noughty a couple years ago and enjoyed it, though I was still getting used to the lack of alcohol's unique mouth feel and body. I like it even more now, because it's been long enough that I'm no longer accustomed to that. Wine is easier to pull off de-alcoholized than liquor (which I also love), because the ABV is so much lower. Yes, you can easily tell the difference, but the flavors and aromas of real wine are here because except for the alcohol, it is real wine. I also think the price is reasonable for what it is.

Hi Philip - Thanks again for such a great review. We feel the same. We wanted a non-alcoholic wine that clearly gave the flavour profile of a wine that has been lovingly produced and then expertly dealcoholized to maintain as much of the original flavour profile and personality as its original alcoholic persona, albeit with lighter notes because the alcohol isn't clouding the experience.
